为庆祝OCCSC (渥太华华人社区服务中心) 成立50周年,OCCSC 现招聘一位Storyteller(故事采编),记录并传播新移民的感人故事,展现我们50年来对社区的贡献与影响。

岗位:Storyteller

薪资:$17.20/小时

工作时长:35小时/周

合同时长:8 周

年龄:15-30岁

语言要求:中英文流利

主要职责包括:

1、内容创作(数字与印刷平台)

  • 网站与博客:撰写反映OCCSC发展历程、使命与服务的文章

  • 社交媒体:为微信公众号、小红书、Facebook、Instagram等平台撰写有吸引力的中英文图文内容

  • 电子通讯:定期发布中英文电子简报(Newsletter),分享活动动态与社区故事

2、故事采集与撰写

  • 采访服务对象、员工、志愿者,挖掘真实故事与感人瞬间

  • 撰写移民成功故事,呈现他们从落地到融入的成长历程

3、活动与宣传支持

  • 协助撰写50周年庆典相关宣传材料(如宣传册、博客、社交媒体帖文)

  • 支持筹款文案、网页内容及影响力报告撰写

  • 具备中英文流利的写作与沟通能力

  • 熟悉微信公众号、小红书等中文社交媒体运营与内容发布

  • 了解移民社区背景,有共情力和采编能力

  • 善于团队协作,细致耐心,注重内容质量

Canada Summer Jobs Program 

Position Title: Storyteller

Location:   400 Cooper Street, Suite 2000, Ottawa, Ontario

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 35 hours/week   

Contract Term:   8 weeks

Salary/Rate:   $17.20/hour 

About OCCSC  

The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre is a non-profit, non-partisan, charitable organization that provides programs and services to advance the social, cultural and economic integration and participation of all newcomers, immigrants, refugees, as well as, people of Chinese heritage.  

Position Overview  

The Storyteller for the Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC) will play a pivotal role in capturing and sharing the organization's inspiring journey as it celebrates 50 years of supporting and empowering immigrants in Ottawa. The storyteller will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives highlighting OCCSC’s impact, services, and the success stories of those who have benefited from its programs.

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Sharing Immigrant Success Stories 

Collect and share powerful personal stories from immigrants helped by OCCSC over the past 50 years. These stories will highlight their journeys—from settlement to integration and success in Canada—showcasing the real impact of OCCSC’s work. 

2. Celebrating OCCSC’s Milestones & Community Impact 

Create content that highlights key moments in OCCSC’s history, from its founding in 1975 to today. Show how its services have evolved and the difference it has made in Ottawa’s immigrant communities, fostering belonging and empowerment. 

3. Content Creation for Digital & Print 

Website & Blog: Write articles about OCCSC’s 50-year legacy, mission, and services. 

Social Media: Share engaging posts (WeChat, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) with visuals, quotes, and success stories. 

Email Newsletters: Keep clients informed about events, updates, and calls to action. 

4. 50th Anniversary Campaign Materials 

Work with marketing and event teams to create: 

Celebratory blog posts 

Event materials (brochures, posters, newsletters) 

5. Documenting OCCSC’s Journey

Interview long-time staff, board members, and community leaders for insights. 

6. Fundraising Content 

Write compelling donor appeals, campaign web pages, and impact reports to support OCCSC’s 50th-anniversary fundraising efforts. 

7. Collaboration & Community Engagement 

Work with Clients: Gather authentic testimonials through interviews

Required Qualifications: 

· Must be between the ages of 15 and 30 and eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program. 

· Completed and/or enrolled in a post-secondary institution  

· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively 

· Excellent English communication skills: bilingual English/Chinese proficiency preferred. 

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with technology and software systems
